We’ve Gone and Built a Touchscreen Coffee Table

Here’s a fun little update on what goes on behind the scenes at DVP.

Touchscreen Coffee TableThis is a real thing that Michael Kulik, the president of Digital Vantage Point, built.

Is it as awesome as it sounds?

Yes it is.

But what brought this about? At Digital Vantage Point, we’re all about building solutions and experiences. This new piece of interactive furniture is no different.

We can draw parallels between our fancy new coffee table with our integrated e-Commerce solution, Nav-to-Net™.

So what’s the story?

We needed a coffee table in the office. Michael saw an opportunity to built something better. Aside from the cool factor, our touchscreen coffee table allows for productive impromptu meetings. As an e-Commerce company creating websites, it’s helpful to quickly pull up projects in question, have a discussion, and do the things you normally would on a computer.

Elegant and Creative Solutions for Specific Issues

The process of building such a table is similar to our e-Commerce website projects that we take on. The vision, the research, and coming up with innovative solutions to make it happen the way we want. It’s about taking our knowledge and expertise and finding new ways to apply it in a way that makes sense for each customer.

As every business is different, we tailor Nav-to-Net™ to suit you, and sometimes like our touch screen coffee table, we find creative ways to do it.

Customizations in your e-Commerce Solution

When we customized our coffee table, Michael took every detail into account. For example, in order to reach the buttons on the monitor that’s embedded in the table, he used a 3D printer to make a special part. Customizations in every e-Commerce project are carefully analyzed and designed. We look at the solution as a whole to make sure it’s a harmonious well-functioning piece, whether it be a successful e-Commerce website that increases your sales or a super cool touchscreen coffee table. The benefits that you get are extended to your customers as it affects their experience when using your site. Branding consistency, memorable aspects, and distinct features are intangibles that are important but sometimes overlooked.

Because we work with the product and plan every interaction with the customer, we are well aware of the subtleties and its effect. Your customers should just know that they are happy to use your site, give you their business, and have a positive impression of your business and e-Commerce website. We are dedicated to creating those experiences.

The Ta-Dah Moment

Touchscreen Coffee TableThere was a lot of curiosity and intrigue at the Digital Vantage Point office when the idea first came about. We couldn’t quite picture it, but Michael knew what he was doing. When it arrived in the office, everyone wanted to see it and test it out. It definitely had the right looks, but it also worked.

Being the inquisitive bunch we are, we naturally asked Michael all sorts of questions about how he built it, where he got the pieces, how long it took, etc. So while a success, there is always something to improve on and things to keep in mind for the next time.

Much like your e-Commerce website, the unveiling will draw interest and buzz as well as feedback. Keep an open mind and carefully think about which pieces of feedback are valid and can be applied to your solution.

Never Stop Improving

Nav-to-Net™ is an e-Commerce solution that has gone through many evolutions. We’re committed to providing you the best and in order to do that, we keep moving and improving. This is a fast-paced industry and we must keep up. One of the great things about Nav-to-Net™ is that it’s scalable. As your business grows, you don’t have to worry about any hardware or network issues.

Like our touchscreen coffee table, you’ll get to say that you have a one-of-a-kind e-Commerce solution. We don’t do cookie cutter here at Digital Vantage Point.

We love our new coffee table, even though we’re not allowed to put our feet up on it.

You should love your e-Commerce solution just as much.
