Our product configurator is built for power, speed, and flexibility. It creates a guided selling process that helps customers make informed decisions. By streamlining the process, it maximizes the use and functionality of your e-Commerce webshop with minimal effort on the back-end. Present yourself in the best light; a feature like Configurator makes you look really well put together, aware of the shopping process, and knowledgeable about how a customer interacts with your products. Convey trust with your webshop and encourage positive impressions and experiences.

Who can make use of Configurator?

Nav-to-Net™ Configurator is a tool designed to enable a user to customize a product or service to meet their needs. The configuration process goes through a set of well-defined rules and constraints as part of sophisticated guided selling. It strives to make shopping less complicated.

Configurator Rings - Stacklist and Tile

Designing a one-of-a-kind diamond ring with Nav-to-Net™ Configurator.

Because it’s such a flexible product, you can configure it (ha!) anyway you like. If you sell something complex, with lots of options, multiple variations, or customizable features, you can take advantage of this product. This also applies to custom-design, made-to-order, or one-of-a-kind products. The possibilities are endless in the ways you can build your configurator. For example, your configurator can design various clothing items where a customer’s style requirements need to be met. Customers will be able to pick out sizes, patterns, colours, and many other variations for their own stylish creation.

Configurator can also be used to sell services and experiences, like a vacation for example. For a B2B webshop, Nav-to-Net™ Configurator can help in creating quotes or building projects. Industries like engineering or construction may have strict and complex rules regarding what you can and can’t do with their products. Help define the parameters and guide your customers to better buying. Nav-to-Net™ Configurator helps you maximize your e-Commerce functionality and capability so you can cater to distributors, vendors, and clients.

The Set Up

How do our clients use Configurator? Start by thinking about the logical process that a customer should go through when buying. Think of it as guiding and educating a first-time customer who knows nothing about your product or business. Where would you start? The path you set up will start from a broad question that will drill down to details. The steps and questions give context while the individual options refer to the preferences available to your customer.

NTN Configurator Tree Map

Tree map

Let’s say we sell engagement rings. We begin with the main feature, the diamond; that’s the step. The 4 C’s (colour, cut, clarity, and carat) are the questions, each a characteristic in selecting a good diamond. One level down, we learn the actual details of each step. These are the options, the possible answers that affect the final result of the product.

On the Diamond Step, the question is Cut. The Options would then be round, princess, pear-shaped, etc. Ultimately, the shape of the diamond is what we’re asking the customer to pick. After we help the customer define the kind of diamond they are looking for, we can move onto the next step: how will they set their diamond? This is the next step with a whole new set of questions and options.

If we showed our customers every single ring we had and every possible style combination, it would be incredibly overwhelming. An extensive product catalogue should be categorized and organized in such a way that would help our customers figure out what they want. Nav-to-Net™ Configurator takes a personalized approach and asks questions much like a concierge does.
